Huskin Machinery Company

Huskin Machinery Company in Maryville, Tenn. called upon our powder coat shop for a heavy job. They brought in two carbon steel platforms they had fabricated out of their shop, weighing 2,800 lbs. each. Due to the weight, each platform had to be lifted with a forklift and required a specially designed rigging system with chains and eyebolts in order to suspend the platforms from racks for the powder coating process. Once the platforms were suspended from the racks, they were pretreated through a degreasing and phosphating process. The platforms were then sprayed with one coat of safety-yellow powder and placed in the oven for the curing process. After they were taken out of the oven, each platform was carefully inspected and ready for pick-up.
