In 2011, Lisega moved from Newport to Kodak, Tenn., in four weeks. This company manufactures high-end pipe supports for major engineering and construction projects. Because of the timeline and distance, we provided a multi-shift approach to the project in order to get them moved to the new facility. In addition to developing a detailed moving schedule that allowed them to keep orders flowing regardless of the distance, we completed areas of pre-construction in order to support the upcoming equipment move. The moving process began with the raw materials yard. At the same time, we moved the saw lines and burning tables, which is where their fabrication process begins. Next, we moved the bending and welding lines and followed the company’s manufacturing process until the project was complete. We completed the project on time and remained on site for another six weeks fine-tuning the new facility in order to maximize their manufacturing process.
